Compelling Vision Conversations- Pleasant Ridge COB
January 12, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Where There Is No Vision, the People Perish (Prov. 29:18a KJV)
CoB Leadership, at both the denominational and district levels, has affirmed calling a team to guide the denomination through a process of conversation and discernment to arrive at a compelling vision rooted in our shared commitment to live as Christ’s disciples. The guiding statement for this process is: “Confessing Jesus Christ as Teacher, Redeemer, and Lord, we desire to serve Him byproclaiming, professing, and walking in His way together bringing His peace to our broken world. Join us inreclaiming a new passion for Christ and helping set a course for our future as the Church of the Brethrenserving Him in our communities and in the world!”
Conversations began at the 2018 Annual Conference (AC) and will continue in districts through the fall and winter, culminating at the 2019 AC. The Compelling Vision Process Team (CVPT) seeks to engage as many people as possible, providing opportunities for individuals to give voice to their passions and concerns, listen to one another, and work together to identify common threads and themes that might point to a shared and compelling vision.
